We are helping our client in Chicago, hire a Service Advisor.

SERVICE ADVISOR

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual looking for a unique opportunity to join an established wealth management team, to cultivate and grow existing client relationships with the opportunity to build a career as a personal financial advisor.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary of $50,000 to $80,000 (depending on relevant experience, credentials, and past results) Variable Compensation (individual/team bonuses with potential for production-based compensation) Full Benefits

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years of relevant professional working experience
• Life and Health Insurance License (or licensure within 6 weeks of hiring) Series 6 or 7 (required)
• CFP (preferred but not required)
• Non-solicitation agreement
• Background and reference check completed prior to hire

RESPONSIBILITIES

Upon joining the team, the Service Advisor will learn team processes and attend client meetings in a support role to the Private Wealth Advisors. Initial duties include meeting summary notes and client e-mails, completing service tasks and creating a frictionless experience between the needs of the client and the operations of the team. The service advisor will become proficient in creating custom financial plans, developing insurance and investment recommendations, and overseeing special projects (such as: tax planning, charitable giving, & pension analysis).

This role requires both technical aptitude and relationship skills. The service advisor must be comfortable working directly with clients and must work well in a team environment. They will be expected to deepen client relationships through timely follow ups and thoughtful touchpoints such that the client is willing to rely on the Service Advisor for guidance with their planning.

Service Advisors may choose to build a career within this role, however there is a structured pathway available for those wishing to advance their career toward becoming a Private Wealth Advisor with business development capabilities. The evolution of this role provides for a pathway to becoming a partner in the firm. Career coaching and support will be provided, including education expenses to obtain a Series 7 and CFP designation.

They are a boutique financial planning practice that oversee approximately $500M in assets under management with 300 households and a personal insurance practice. The firm is currently comprised of 9 team members, including 3 Private Wealth Advisors.
